Sažetak
Objectives: This research was conducted in order to demonstrate the impact of daily drinks on the composition of the artificial saliva. Materials: For testing artificial saliva potentiometric titration was used to prove the effect of erosive drinks (Drink 1-10) on the hard dental tissue. It is a device that with the help of selective electrodes measure the potential of fluoride ions in individual sample. Results: From the tested products possible remineralizing effect of mineral water Jamnica water (Drink 7) proved due to its ability to replace calcium ions from the lattice of hydroxyapatit with fluoride ions and increase strength of hard dental tissues (enamel and dentin) in the therapy with artificial saliva. pH measurment was carried out with a pH meter, the most favorable score had again mineral water Jamnica (Drink 7) whose pH was 6.04 that is the closest pH value to the natural sali-va pH (6- 6.5). Conclusion: Tested artificial saliva proved that certain daily drinks that were tested have potential for remineralization of dental tissue and cariostatic effect.
