Sažetak
The 1st International Multidisciplinary Conference on Computer and Energy Science (SpliTech) was held in University of Split, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FESB). The conference has been organized by the University of Split, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FESB), and has been technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc). Becoming the first conference nowadays is a big challenge. However, looking at the conference program, we are proud with the outcome - the conference succeeded in combining the industry with academia, where sharing experiences in the hottest topics of today: e-Health, Smart City/Environment, and Energy being of great importance for building future, better world. The conference received total of 69 contributions from researchers and experts from industry, research institutes and universities all around the world, while 33 of them where carefully selected based on their contribution, relevance, conceptual clearness and overall quality, with acceptance rate of 48%, by following IEEE rules of acceptance rate. Submitted papers have been reviewed by 100 scientists from universities, institutes and ICT companies, where each paper was reviewed by at least three independent reviewers. The technical conference program featured nine conference sessions on topics of e-Health, Smart City/Environment, and Energy. Besides the scientific program an all-day workshop on Internet of Things (IoT) was organized with partners from industry, in cooperation with University of Salento (University of Lecce, Italy). The conference also featured three professional sessions on the conference topics. In addition, a half day tutorial about various aspects of interaction of humans with electromagnetic fields was held. The program also included Round table on Energy renovation of Buildings in Croatia: Reaching EU Targets, Issues and upcoming Challenges, Round table on eHealth in Croatia: Where are we and where we want to be, as well as Round table on Smart City: Concepts, Realization and Experiences. On behalf of the Program committee we would like to thank the author s for their excellent contributions. Further, we thank all reviewers and Technical Program Committee Members for tremendous efforts involved in the review process, while being strongly suggestive and thus helping Authors to improve their contributions. We also thank to the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Internet Technical Committee and e-Health Technical Committee for their support.
