Sažetak
The paper describes procedures for analyzing and design of the ship electric power network regarding total harmonic distortion. It addresses and provides an overview of the sources of higher harmonic components in the ship power network. The paper also analyses the impact of the certain parameters of the ship power network components to total harmonic distortion in order to enable the designing engineer to optimize the ship network. Several methods for reducing total harmonic distortion in ship electric power networks are also covered within the paper
