Sažetak
This paper discusses the notion of intermittent information in the context of Networked Control Systems (NCSs). Accordingly, a historical perspective, motivation and background regarding sporadic/aperiodic information exchange in NCSs are provided. As expected, an emphasis is put on our recent work and connections are made with related approaches (e.g., with self- and event-triggering as prevalent sources of user-designed intermittency in the past several years). Our methodology combines Lp-stability of impulsive delay systems with the small-gain theorem in order to infer Uniform Global Asymptotic Stability (UGAS) or Lp-stability with bias and with a prespecified Lp-gain. We incorporate nonlinear time-varying dynamic plants and controllers with delay dynamic, Uniformly Globally Exponentially Stable (UGES) scheduling protocols, model-based estimation, exogenous disturbances and modeling uncertainties as well as delayed, noisy and lossy communication channels. The inverted pendulum stabilization problem illustrates our methodology.
