Sažetak
Polymeric surfaces and different molded outdoors elements of moldable thermoplastic polymers are currently getting used due to their resistance to permanent deformation on impact and their corrosion resistance. General moldable thermoplastic polymers that are consumed for these sections are polypropylene, polyethylene, ABS, polystyrene, and styrene-acrylonitrile copolymers. These Polymeric coatings particularly have much less UV resistance, chalking and chemical damages resistance. Thermoplastic acrylic resin has high effect with solvent such as acetone, butyl acetate, propylene glycol, n-Butanol, but the disadvantage is that these solvents can destroy polymer surface. In this study modified resin with methacrylate and different parameters are analysed in order to achieve higher durability against hardships condition and controlling the curing process of coating to keep properties of polymer surface. From the results it can be concluded that high quality coating, excellent wetting on the surface and economically cost effective coating will be achieved.
