Sažetak
Problems related to the occurrence, spreading and preventing formation of cracks in concrete lining of tunnels are presented. Causes of such difficulties are investigated throughout the world, and so also in Croatia. Types of cracks and their classification are presented. Temperature variations, effect of tensile and compressive stresses, heat of hydration are, inter alia, typical causes of crack formation. Graphical representations of correlations among individual parameters influencing occurrence, formation and spreading of cracks are given. Measures for lowering the risk of crack occurrence are recommended.
