Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to analyze rail and road transport performances at the cross-border transit points in Croatia. In this paper were obtained real data based on the results of ACROSSEE project in which Croatian transport operators were interviewed. A research has shown that there are present problems that significantly affect the quality of service and waiting times on cross-borders. Series of infrastructural, administrative and management criticalities accumulate at borders. Railway interoperability represents a priority to be achieved for the entire area and particularly for the West Balkans. The importance of cross- borders in international trade was explained in short analysis of transport sector in Croatia. Transit times at the main rail and road cross- borders transit points in Croatia were observed from the questionnaires and at the end, rail and road transport performances at the cross borders in Croatia were defined.
