Sažetak
Mycotoxins are toxic secondary metabolites produced by filamentous fungi. There is more than 400 different known mycotoxins, yet only 13 of them are regulated in EU: aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, G2, M1, ochratoxin A, patulin, deoxynivalenol, zearalenone, fumonisin B1 and B2, T-2, and HT-2 toxins according to regulation EC 1881/2006. Cereals are considered to be most important source of mycotoxins in our diet. It is also known that wetter can effect fungal contamination and mycotoxins in cereals. As there are not enough occurrence data and toxicity studies, EFSA has requested additional information for following mycotoxins: nivalenol, diacetoxyscirpenol, enniatins, beauvericin, moniliformin, citrinin, sterigmatocystin, alternaria toxins, ergot alkaloids and phomopsins. The aim of this study was to determine occurrence of mycotoxins in cereals from Croatia harvested in 2013 intended for human consumption, by using muti-mycotoxin method.
