Sažetak
The results of a comparative analysis of several Croatian translations of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll are presented. Special focus is on translating nonsense and puns. Circumstances of the publication of the first Croatian translation by Mira (Jurkić) Šunjić are explained. Translated in 1935, the book was published in Zagreb in 1944. The text was often re-published, and other translations also appeared, including those by Antun Šoljan, Predrag Raos, and Luko Paljetak.
