Sažetak
Mechanical, metallographic and chemical testing of the metallic materials typically are conducted in accredited laboratories, particularly for energy and process equipment. Accreditation according to HRN EN ISO/IEC 17025 is done by the National Institute of Metrology – National Accreditation Service. There are many requirements which a laboratory must satisfy if it wants to be accredited. The functioning of the laboratory in accordance with the requirements of that rule is the organizational challenge, especially with the financial side. Among the advantages highlighted are confidence in the testing of the laboratory and the implementation of testing procedures and the results of test reports. The main disadvantage is really reflected in significantly increased costs of the accredited laboratory maintance.
