Sažetak
The requirements of high combustion efficiency and reduced levels of pollutant emissions have motivated the development of computer modelling aimed at the simulation of the relevant physical phenomena and chemical processes occurring in metallurgical furnaces. The interaction of turbulence with chemical reactions is one of the most interesting factors in combustion modelling, which has to be taken into account. The has phase reaction rates can be based on several different models taking into consideration turbulence-combustion interaciton. The aim of this paper has been to present a general structure of the full three-dimensional combustion simulation model covering all aspects of fluid flow, turbulence and flame chemistry and the comparison of different turbulence models and their range of application.
