Sažetak
We present a rare case of myxedema coma in an old patient treated in our ICU. A 67-year old woman with severe obesity and long standing unrecognized thyroid disease was admitted in our ICU after resuscitation due to deep collapse precipitated by narcotica. We described clinical presentation, thyroid hormon levels, cardiac enzyme levels and respiratory status admission. Our treatment included hemodynamic support, fit restriction and treatment of hyponatremia, mechanic ventilation and specific therapy also some cardial complications and hospital infections occurred. Levels of thyroid hormones, plasma Cortisol, sodic concentrations and heart rate during the ICU-therapy and presented. Despite a high mortality rate of exteme hypothyroidis patients can be successfully treated using multidisciplinary approach
