Sažetak
Through a retrospective study the patients treated for the oral diseases were investigated. The term "Oral diseases" implied pathology of the oral cavity and temporomandibular joint, which treatment an otolaryngologist share with other specialists. Through the one year period 2012 patients were investigated, and 3620 examinations were performed, which is 1, 7 exams per patients. The patients treated owing to oral diseases were 67, which was 3, 3% of the overall patient number, an average examine number per patient was 2. The patients according to diagnoses were divided into four clusters: 16 patient with temporomandibular dysfunction, 16 burning mouth syndrome and 16 with oral candidosis. The fourth cluster contains heterogeneous diseases such as uremic stomatitis, nicotinism, oral lichen, aphthous stomatitis, viral gingivostomatitis, symptomatic exfoliative glossitis, dysgeusia and angular stomatitis. The half of patients with the temporomandibular joint disorder were addressed to the ENT specialist as an earache and due to that with antibiotics therapy. The ten of patient in this group was definitive cured with oral non steroid analgesics in combination with diazepam. Half patient in candidosis group had to treat with per os fluconasol therapy, and all four patients with exfoliative glossitis were cured with local antihistamine drops. A number of the causes of oral diseases patients in ENT outpatient depends on the availability of other specialists which treated these diseases. ENT specialist able to treat most of the oral diseases which are addressed to ENT outpatient.
