Sažetak
This is the first report of non-regulated Fusarium mycotoxins occurrence in Croatian cereals. Several different Fusarium mycotoxins were detected in the cereal samples harvested during 2015 which were collected from all Croatian regions. Two hundred different cereal samples were collected: 97 maize, 64 wheat, 22 barley, 11 oat, 4 triticale and 2 rye samples. Analysis was performed using a liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry multi- mycotoxin method. Of the legally regulated mycotoxins deoxynivalenol (DON), and zearalenon (ZON) were most frequently detected. The maximum concentration of DON was 2680 ppb in maize with 941 ppb of masked deoxynivalenol-3- glucoside. Other detected trichothecenes were 3- & 15-acetyldeoxynivalenol, nivalenol, nivalenol-3-glucoside, T-2 toxin, HT-2 toxin, HT-2 glucoside, T-2 tetraol, diacetoxyscirpenol, 4-deacetylneosolaniol. In addition to ZON with maximum concentration of up to 618 ppb in maize, zearalenon-4-sulfate, α- & β-zearalenol were also detected. Several fumonisins were also present: fumonosin B1, fumonosin B2, fumonosin B3, fumonosin B4, and hydrolysed fumonosin B1. Other detected Fusarium metabolites included beauvericin, enniatins (A, A1, B, B1, B2 & B3), moniliformin, equisetin, epi-equisetin, metilequisetin, aurofusarin, rubrofusarin, apicidin, culmorin, 5- & 15-hydroxyculmorin, 15-hydroxyculmoron, butenolide, chrysogine, fusaric acid, fusapyron, deoxyfusapyron, fusaproliferin, and fusarin C.
