Sažetak
It is contended that the study of the Croatian diaspora--especially one of its more numerous offshoots in the United States--should proceed in a more consistent and dedicated manner that would connect interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary orientations of American Studies, Croatian Studies and other related disciplines. This concerted effort should reflect the fact that diasporic formations and their durable character is one of the staying features of Croatia's social, economic and political development. In the second part of the article case studies are offered to illustrate the possible approaches focusing mostly on literary-cultural examples.
