Sažetak
This master thesis represents the concept of the terms for 'landscape' in Croatia ; in other words, differences in conceptual images among the concepts of 'pejzaž', 'krajolik' and 'krajobraz' from a weak social constructivist aspect. The interrelationship of these terms has been established by the methods of theoretical an empirical research, whereby the theoretical research is based on professional literature and analysis of foreign concepts of 'landscape' throughout cultural-historical and epistemological aspects, while the empirical research is based on qualitative personal interviews and a subjective data analysis associated to prior theory. The results do not only confirm the two hypotheses ; first, that the meaning and understanding of each single expression for the term 'landscape' in Croatia language is different ; and second, that the concept of the term 'landscape' changes by using different expressions in Croatian language, but even more. They provide explanation for the current situation of ambiguities and confusion regarding that issue which represents also the essential point regarding set future actions and goals. The aim of this thesis is to show the depth of this issue in Croatia and appeal for further research and collaboration (horizontally and vertically) with the motive of improving and eventually, elevating the conceptual level of landscape architecture in Croatia.
