Sažetak
The congress was well organized, but there was a feeling that some important experts were missing, and little new data were presented. Some new theories were introduced, auch as the antidepressant effect of smoking in MDD, or the use of new combinations of SSRIs with atypical antipsychotics in the treatment of nonpsychotic, treatment resistant PTSD (SSRI with olanzapine), and some potentially new antidepressants. The congress also covered the side effects of psychotropic drugs, especially effects on plasma lipids and plasma glucose, metabolic parameters associated to insulin resistance, and possibly comorbid diabetes mellitus, and cardiac drug interactions.
