Sažetak
Assistive technology refers to a variety of devices and services aimed at helping persons with disabilities and special education/rehabilitation needs to function better within their daily context and achieve a higher quality of life. Modern researches show that assistive technology can help preschool children with developmental disabilities in encouraging some activities in everyday life such as: social skills, communication, attention, development of fine and gross motor skills, improving self confidence and independence. The aim of this work is to determine if application of educational and rehabilitation program using assistive technology affect visual perception, motor coordination and activities in everyday life of a preschool child with developmental disabilities. The program was implemented in the family of a 6 years old preschool child. Apart from the application of assistive technologies, this program included the elements of sensory integration programs, creative therapies and other individualized processes and support, education and work in the family. In order to estimate and evaluate were used: Beery-Buktenica Developmental Test of Visual- Motor Integration and Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ-3). As a method of data processing was applied modification of INDIF algorithm, which is used for component analysis of the respondents condition described as a group of variables registered through a certain period of time. Results of quantitative analysis method INDIF showed changes in the controlled variables and the positive effects of the applied education and rehabilitation program.
