Sažetak
Orienting occlusion rims parallel with Camper's plane posteriorly is method often used in Dental schools. We wish to evaluate the relationship between these lines in a random sample of our population. In this investigation 70 standard cephalograms, were used. Each cephalogram was aligned on transparent foil and the following points were marked: spinale - point on the lower margin of the anterior nasal spine, where its thickness is 3 mm ; poroin - midpoint of the ear, incision superius - lowest of the incisal edge of the upper medial incisor ; molare - tio of the distobucal cusp of the first, upper molar. Occlusal and Camper's plane were drawn, and angles were measured. Mean value x' = 3.58. Standard error of the mean s = 3.14. Coefficient of variation cv = 87.81%. Mean value and great concentration of measured values under degrees (60°/0) shows that investiated lines are relatively parallel. Coefficient of variation, standard error of the mean and widely dispersed values measured show that there is no parallelism between occlusal and Camper's line. Determination of the occlusal plane with Camper's plane is erroneous unless individual caraniofacial morfology is respected.
