Sažetak
34 cephalograms with a minimum of 20 teeth have been used in this investigation. We evaluated the correlation between 'occlusal-Francfort plane' angle and 'porionnasion-anterior nasal spina' angle. The coefficient of correlation in our investigation was 0.1263. It is assumed that a correlation exists when the coefficient is greater than 0.5. Thus in our investigation no correlation could be established. This finding is similar to results published by Karhasis and Polyzois, but is at variance with the results of Monteith. The results from our sample show that the occlusal plane could not be reliably oriented on the articulator in edentulous mouths using Monteith's method.
