Sažetak
For the evaluation of the relationships between the occlusal plane and Francfort's and Camper's maxillary and mandibular planes, standard cephalograms of 65 Angle class I patients have been used. Tracings were made according to standard cephalometric criteria. Orbitale, porion, spina anterior, spina palati posterior, incision superius, molare and a tangent to the lower margin of the mandible were used as reference points. These points determine the previously mentioned planes. The angles between those planes were measured with an accuracy of 0.5 degree. Results were statistically analyzed. Our results give some indications as to the pre-orientation of the artificial occlusal plane and the position of the teeth. If cephalometric tracings are used adequately, they are of some practical help during examination and clinical practice. On the basis of our investigation and others (Slavicek. Ricketts. Bojanov etc.). we believe that cephalometric evaluation of skeletal relationships as well as of the inclination of the artificial teeth are reliable enough for establishing guidelines. The morphological differences though should not be neglected.
