Sažetak
Corporate governance is the system by which business owners monitor and supervise the work of managers to ensure the efficient operation of enterprises and profit maximization. The object and purpose of this article is to describe and analyze telecommunications industry in Republic of Croatia from the aspect of corporate governance. As with the focus on the telecommunications industry, the thesis is limited to the telecommunications market of mobile network in Republic of Croatia, which is particularly interesting because in the last two decades have passed through the process of liberalization. Through the article will define basic economic characteristics of the telecommunications industry and make the analysis of competitors in this industry. The article shows the state of the telecommunications industry in Republic of Croatia. Telecommunications industry in developed, but also in transition countries is one of the largest branches of the economy that links all countries of the world enormous transmission capacities. Considering the growing importance of mobile network growth, the focus is on companies that in its portfolio of activities offered mobile services. The results from the analysis of competitors determine their importance in the individual company in the mentioned industry.
