Sažetak
Modern designing of the green surfaces, and especially of the decorative greens and others, does not measure up to the satisfactory ratio for the ornithofauna in city building areas. By visualization of the space the architects are recently trying to create a „monocultural“ simple designing of space by following the trends of the profession. That is why we can encounter autochthon species, which do not meet all the demands (such as nesting). Urban parks and old gardens insist on different aspects of using the space. That is how we can encounter many woody species in such micro‐environments, which prefer certain species of birds. This paper will deal with Mediterranean woody species for single European finch, so that they could serve further visualization of space, avicultural protective aspect, as well as the possibility of their appliance in hobby aviculture and landscape decoration.
