It is now almost 20 years since Croatian sedimentologists organized the 4th IAS Regional Meeting in Split, a town located in the central part of the eastern Adriatic coast. Since 1983, the Meetings have been held throughout Europe and North Africa. Now, we are pleased to announce that, in 2003, the 22nd IAS Meeting of Sedimentology will be returning to Croatia. On this occasion, the Meeting will be held in the small, northern Adriatic town of Opatija, a pleasant seaside location with a long tourist tradition and a modern Convention Centre...
