Sažetak
The concept of gap-waveguide is based on using a finite quasi-periodic structure with electromagnetic bandgap property to trap waves inside a parallel-plate waveguide. In order to efficiently analyze arbitrary components based on bedof- nails gap-waveguide technology we developed an analysis method that rigorously evaluates scattering from each pin using the Mode Matching approach in combination with the multiple scattering analysis. The resulting program is very fast making it suitable for iterative optimization in the design process of various components.
