Sažetak
Rijeka dubrovačka is an elongated bay fiord type, near the city of Dubrovnik. In the past, the area was part of the Dubrovnik Republic, a small but successful skillful political patrician state in the final south of today's Croatia. This extremely layered space, is in the category of protected important landscape over half a century due to interferences of its cultural, historical, natural and hydrological values. This paper will analyze and present the scope and character of the many changes in the past, and their impact on the original value of protected landscape in the context of the conservation area, which is in organic connection with the historic center of Dubrovnik. The result of the research will be determining the value of this space today to spatial-urbanistic and landscape criteria.
