Sažetak
The main objective of this chapter is to reveal whether there is the link between trends in the consumption of the sport equipment and the effects on the environment in general. The chapter begins with the theoretical background where the insight into the origins of the concept, the definitions of recycling, some aspects of sport tourism and sustainable tourism, consumption of the sport equipment, etc. is given. In order to meet the objective and the purpose of the chapter, a research study examining the Croatian consumers’ purchasing decisions in the context of sport equipment was conducted. Following the structure of the chapter, the discussion of the results, conclusion and future research possibilities are given.
