Sažetak
In this work three heats of St 52.3 grade steel pipes were analysed. Mechanical properties and microstructure of the cold-rolled pipes around defects were tested. It was found that after annealing of pipes at 540-560oC the desirable mechanical properties were obtained. After heat treatment all pipes were controlled by ultrasonic method. Longitudinal and transversal defects were controlled on the outside and the inside surface pipes. On outside surface pipes the longitudinal defects in the form of shells were detected. Observed shells are probably result of the hot rolling of pipes. Metallographic analysis of samples showed that around shells the non-metallic inclusions were presented.
