Sažetak
The research done in this paper indicates the need to organise Search and Rescue Services (SAR) in our environment, their great impact on the development of economy in general, and tourism and transport in particular. The paper presents the current situation and the problems regarding overlapping of issuing orders to perform rescue assignments. In compliancewith international standards and rules, the paper offers recommendations and guidelines in planning the development, organisation and financing of such a service.
