Sažetak
This paper deals with the level of politicization of youth in the Croatian region of Dalmatia at the end of the 1990s. The paper is based on the empirical research of the students at Split University carried out in December of 1999. The results of this research are compared to those carried out earlier in the 1990s. At the beginning of the year 2000, Croatian youth population demands a change of behavior of the political elites and new rules of political participation. However, research results indicate that Split students do not genuinely support NGO methods of political action and behavior. Young people became a relevant political subject primarily by virtue of their mass participation in the January 2000 elections.
