Sažetak
This paper is a report on empirical research of the lifestyle of Croatian youth population in the late 1990s. Research results indicate that the orientation of the Croatian youth population towards the family, hedonism and peer group mirrors that of their Western counterparts. However, the Croatian late 1990s youth population was exposed to economic hardship and difficult living conditions, as well as to a more dynamic process of destruction of values in their socio-cultural environment. Research results indicate that the majority of young people live in the homes of their parents, who are at the same time their only source of income. The worldview of the Croatian youth population is dominated by a concililatory conformism.
