Sažetak
Flight Operations Quality Audit (FOQA) programs are of relatively recent origin. FOQA programs are becoming more common to airlines of today. Flight data recording devices modified for repeated and daily data readouts have been demonstrating their unquestionable advantages for a short time. Moreover, they demonstrate the interest of airlines that use them in the way they perform their primary role - safe and efficient transport of people, cargo and mail. The authors intend to present the technological foundations for FOQA program's existence.The general structure and organization of FOQA program will be presented together with professional forums' and governmental agencies' stand-points as well. Having in mind multifold purposes of FOQA programs the paper is going to present contenporary application of generated data in the aviation industry with the specific example of medium sized airline's FOQA. Continuous recording and interpretation of well chosen operations data can generate conclusions that have multiple direct and indirect applications. Adopting such practice aviation and any other mode of transportation can benefit by bringing safety, efficiency and economics to a higher level.
