Sažetak
The results of this research indicate the model of the principal’s role realization in the Croatian educational system, and a model of the role principals perform. Findings from this research guide us to conclusion that during their work principal’s realize eight roles that consist of specific jobs, which are very close to many different theoretical explanations of managers and leaders roles. Principals realize: a) the role of information collector and disseminator, b) the role of communicator, c) the role of strategist and planner, d) the role of executive manager, administrator and organizer, e) the role of educational leader and educator, f) the role of evaluator, g) the role of student and h) the link with community.
