Sažetak
In this work the resistance to the hydrogen embrittlement of low alloyed steel tubings (0.33%C-1.14%Mn-0.23%V) was studied by cathodic polarization method. Heat treatment of tubings consisted of quenching (in oil and water) and tempering at 700oC followed cooling on air. The examination of longitudinal cross sections near to the fracture surface by SEM indicated initiation of crack from the outer surface. Initiation of cracks occurred at the Mn/S matrix interface.
