Sažetak
It is assumed that the aircraft is lost in a certain area which represents a search area divided into N rectangles. In order to determine the a priori probability Po of the target location in single rectangles, the pilots who are acquainted with the search area are interviewed. The search is carried out by imperfect detectors that have a certain probability of false detection α and the probability of failed detection β. The procedure is provided for the selection of the next location of search in case the target has not be found.
