Sažetak
Implementation of socially responsible behaviour in the economy, as part of the EU accession process is becoming imperative. There is no single law, at a State or lower levels, which regulates socially responsible behaviour. However, various policies are relevant to different aspects of CSR. One of the main promoters of CSR in BiH is the UN Global Compact network, established in 2005 by the UNDP, together with the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Center for the Promotion of Civil Society and consulting company CSR Plus jointly fulfil the Secretariat role. Others active in promoting CSR are USAID – through its ‘GOOD’ award for the most socially responsible companies – and Social Inclusion Foundation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which started operating in 2010. Companies, both private and public, include socially responsible behavior in business in accordance with applicable law, and that is mainly philantropy. Research on corporate social responsibility found that 58 percent of the representatives of the companies believe that companies in BiH are generally irresponsible. In contrast, almost 92 percent of the same respondents said that corporate social responsibility is included in the annual plans of their companies and to have planned budgets for the realization of certain socially responsible actions, but because of the current priorities the management was forced to cut the costs of CSR related activities.
