Sažetak
Arable crop production involves activities that affect the successful production. These activities include intensive agricultural techniques and the frequent application of pesticides. Effects of these activities on collembolan abundance were investigated in arable crops cultivated in four year crop rotation. Collembola were collected with endogeic traps on fields sown with different arable crops. The highest Collembola abundance was recorded at oilseed rape field, and the lowest abundance was recorded at sugar beet field. Results indicate that sugar beet cultivation, which implies intensive tillage and insecticide application, reduces collembolan abundance, which numbers recovered after the sugar beet production in four year crop rotation.
