Sažetak
The subject of this paper is the adaptation of anglicisms in Croatian-edition comics that is, their orthographic and semantic adaptation. The paper thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical and the experimental part. The theoretical part represents the language contact which leads to the process of borrowing. During the borrowing words from one language are adapted into the linguistic system of another one. The main focus in this part is on the adaptation of anglicisms on orthographic, phonological, morphological and semantic levels. The experimental part involves the research in which fifty anglicisms that were found in Croatian-edition comics (Alan Ford, Dylan Dog and Zagor) were examined. The orthographic and semantic adaptation of these anglicisms were analysed in the research.
