Sažetak
The conversion of natural gas into liquid synthetic fuels through the Fischer-Tropsch process is considered to be a technology for the 21st century. It is called Gas to Liquids Technology (hereafter GTL). This is a technology which enables commercialization of stranded gas (gas from commercially unattractive abandoned reservoirs) since natural gas can be converted into commercially viable liquid synthetic fuels. Furthermore, it should be pointed out that the Fischer-Troups process yields high quality, ultra-clean transportation fuels, and in addition to liquid fuels, specialties can also be produced. GTL technology is a “green” technology of our century.
