Sažetak
A multimedia lecture "Representations of Solar Deities in Global Mythologies" provides for an English demonstration of celestial deities in global mythologies as a reflection of power and solar adoration. A special presentational emphasis is laid on a historical reconstruction of celestial deities’ depictions ever since the Neolithic and the “solar barge, ” the Mesopotamian Bronze Age (Shamash), and the Germanic mythology, up to the Ancient Greek Helios or the Roman god of Apollo. Partially, the lecture is directed to a representation of Sun by the Aztecs, in ancient China, India, and Egypt, ending with the Judeo-Christian cultural spheres.
