Sažetak
To characterize dielectric properties of the oral mucosa we measured impedance magnitude and phase at 10 different anatomic locations in the oral cavity in the frequency range of 30 Hz to 1 MHz. Measurements were performed on 19 healthy sub- jects. The results show strong differences between hard palate, tongue (dorsal side and tip) and other oral regions. Based on the shape of impedance spec-tra we conclude that characterization of the state of oral mucosa cannot be adequately performed by impedance indices as was suggested by some authors.
