Sažetak
Kopački Rit Nature Park is situated in northeastern part of Croatia, in the floodplain formed by the confluence of the Danube and Drava Rivers, comprising a total surface of 231 km2. It was proclaimed a nature park in 1999 and designated on the List of Internationally Important Wetlands (Ramsar areas) in 1993. The dynamics of flood waters is the main ecological factor influencing the floristic and habitat diversity. Based on the previously published data and results of field researches carried out in the period 2010-2015, the actual flora of Kopački Rit Nature Park consists of two aquatic bryophyte taxa and 499 taxa classified into 289 genera and 93 families of vascular flora. The most numerous families are Asteraceae (42 taxa), Poaceae (38 taxa), Lamiaceae (34 taxa) and Cyperaceae (30 taxa). In the life form spectra hemicryptophytes dominates (40%), followed by theropyhtes (24%), geophytes (12%) and hydrophytes (12%). Phytogeographical analysis shows that 34% of taxa belong to the Eurasian floral element and 27% to plants of wide distribution. Allochthonous flora consists of 50 taxa of which 24 are invasive plants. A total of 50 plant taxa are strictly protected by the Croatian Nature Protection Act, and 55 taxa (11%) are included in the Red Book of Vascular Flora of Croatia (6 in category of critically endangered, 11 endangered, 17 vulnerable, 10 near threatened and 8 data deficient). Habitat mapping in the Kopački Rit Nature Park was carried out in the period June-August 2015, as part of implementing an EU Natura 2000 Integration Project (NIP) entitled „Terrestrial Habitat Mapping of the Republic of Croatia“. A new habitat map will be created by photo- interpretation of satellite and aerial imagery and field research consisting of habitat verification in situ. Field work was carried out using a tablet with a GIS/GPS application and a draft of the habitat map with corresponding habitat codes following the National Habitat Classification. The analysis of the preliminary habitat map shows domination of occasional water pools and habitats characterized with vegetation of tall-sedge marshes (Phragmiti-Magnocaricetea). Endangered and rare wet alluvial meadow from alliance Cnidion venosi is also present. Further activities in floristic inventory and diversity assessment are needed, with an aim to monitor changes in habitat structure and status of rare and protected plant taxa.
