Sažetak
In a prospective study of chronic diseases in Croatia, 842 women and 729 men were examined. The sample consisted of 3 groups: a group with symptoms of chronic bronchitis (325 M, 220 F), symptoms of asthma (74 M, 69 F) and healthy subjects (330 M, 553 F). The relationship betiwen the index of subjective feeling of tuellbeing (ISFWB) and ventilatory functions of VC and FEV1 were examined. The Index demonstrated higher values in subjects (F and M) with symptoms of chronic bronchitis and asthma in comparison with the control group of both sexes. The ISFWB was in the whole sample higher in females. A significant correlation was found between the ISFWB in female patients with symptoms of chronic bronchitis and FEV1%, as well as in the control female group.
