Sažetak
This paper discusses the application High Nature Value farming principles in agriculture and possible environmental compliance. For the agricultural development it is important to successfully incorporate some environmental principals into agriculture. In most Europe Agri-environment programmes (AEP) are recognized under pillar of the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) and represent legitimate schemes of subsidising agriculture. The areas of High Nature Value are regarded as the areas of specific conservation interest currently within some type of agricultural use or under farm management. At the moment, preparation and identification of High Nature Value farmlands in the South East Europe is in its early stages of development. In the most of SEE countries, there is no targeted national support for HNV farming. Currently, in the South East Europe, capacities in HNV development exist to some extent in the governmental organizations, expert organizations, educational institutions, protected areas authorities and NGOs. One of the possible options for expansion of HNV farming is targeting areas of ecological conservation concern.
