Sažetak
The new Directive 2014/95/EU is focusing on disclosure of non-financial information, in accordance with the renewed EU Strategy for corporate social responsibility and the research of this paper is focused on finding the answers if Croatian hotel companies are ready for its application.. The paper presents research, conducted on a sample of Croatian hotel companies (among all Croatian companies) which are declaring themselves as “socially responsible”. The goal of this research is to identify possibilities of preparing higher quality information presented in the sustainability reports in the Croatian hotel companies, in accordance with sustainability principle requirements, necessary for assessing competitive advantage of Croatian hotels on the global tourism market as well as for preparing the innovative strategies of sustainable development.
