Sažetak
Gene therapy as a major aspect of modern molecular medicine holds extraordinary guarantee for the treatment of both acute and chronic ailments and can possibly convey a progressive time to malignancy treatment.Viral vectors that are commonly used in gene therapy are derived from retroviruses, adenoviruses, adeno-associated viruses and herpes simplex viruses. The viral vectors include an extensive variety of viral species with diverse sorts of nucleic acid structures and characteristics related to host cell specificity, expression pattern and length of time as well as cytotoxicity. This study is short overview of numerous challenges within usage of different viral vectors in gene therapy procedures.
