Sažetak
In Europe, non-marital cohabitation (further - cohabitation) has become an increasingly widespread phenomenon in the last decades. In the absence of supranational European legislative, national legislations had responded completely differently to increased number of cohabitation. The article briefly examines areas of protection of cohabitation in Croatian law in comparison to Latvian law, which does not provide comprehensive protection of cohabitants. The main aim of the article is to identify what experience of Croatia could be applied to Latvian legal system.
