Sažetak
Data shows that the participation of young drivers in fatal accidents is greater than the participation of older drivers in fatal accidents. This is a social problem not only in the Republic of Kosovo as a transitional state but also in states in the European Union and other states around the world economically developed. This issue needs a systematic and institutional solution. A solution solved by a detailed research and analysis of the traffic accident indicators, accidents in which involved are young drivers as the most risky category of traffic participants. Some restrictions and prohibition to put on young drivers are of social nature for example, not driving on weekends, during nights or with persons of their age etc. Except of education and trainings about traffic safety it is of high importance to know the relation between psychophysical, psycho-social, socio-economic, socio- demographic, and educative indicators and traffic accidents in which young drivers are involved. The research has been done only between young drivers independent of the fact whether they experienced traffic accidents or not. In this paper particular emphasis will be given on the study of the relation between socio-economic indicators on traffic accidents caused to young drivers, and based on the data recommendations will be given on how to increase safety in traffic and how to decrease the involvement of young drivers in traffic accidents.
