Sažetak
A high-voltage direct current (HVDC) electric power transmission system uses direct current for the transmission of electrical power. For long-distance transmission, HVDC systems show lower electrical losses compared to the more common alternating current (AC) systems. Within this work different approaches to describe and control point-to-point and meshed HVDC networks were evaluated. This was realized by adapting a system-thoretical approach initially designed to describe dynamic AC grids, as well as optimal LQR problem. Measurement reduction method was then used, so a practical control solution could be realized. While recent developments show an increased interest in modular voltage source converter topologies, this kind of terminal behaviour, as well as a structured controller parameter selection, was now, for the first time, implemented within the developed framework.
