Sažetak
Permanent teeth hypodontia (PTH) is the most common anomaly of the permanent dentition. PTH prevalence in Croatia is within the range reported in literature. It is more frequent in females. Bilateral PTH of the upper lateral incisors presents a challenge due to the demanding aesthetics and high endurance expectancy, after a long-term treatment. Re- habilitation has to take the overall stomatognathic system effect into account, which apart from the jaw movements, includes the influence of the lip muscles. Case report: Adolescent, 18 years old, with a bilateral hypodontia of the upper lateral incisors showed interest in aesthetic zone rehabilitation, without involving the neighboring teeth in the prosthodontic treatment. Orthodontic treatment lasted for 18 months with a goal to bodily move the canines distally, achieve the canine guided occlusion and to provide the required space for the lateral incisors. Nobel Replace NP implants with a diameter 3.5mm and length 11.5mm were placed in the region of the lateral incisors. After osseointegration and impressioning, individually trimmed abutments from zirconium- oxide were designed. Definitive crowns from e.max ceramics were made two months after wearing the provisionary crowns and soft tissue modelling. All the main therapy phases are depicted: planning, implantation, temporary and permanent prosthetic restorations and the result 15 months after completion of therapy.
